SELECTED WORK

The Firehouse

December, 2024

I designed this two-level firehouse at 159 East 87th Street in New York City as a vibrant live-work space for visiting artists. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s first studio, also in a firehouse, the project blends historic charm with modern functionality.

The first floor includes a studio, gallery, café, and workspace, while the second floor features a private apartment. A bold yellow block anchors the design, adding visual interest and defining spaces without sacrificing light. With ADA-compliant features and adaptable layouts, the firehouse is both inspiring and accessible.

The Rose House

November, 2024

I designed The Rose House as a warm and accessible home for a family of four, including a family member who uses a wheelchair. The design prioritizes comfort, harmony, and functionality, blending cozy textures, natural materials, and soft, curvilinear forms to create a soothing environment.

With ADA-compliant features and carefully planned turning points, the layout ensures smooth mobility and accessibility throughout the home. Rounded furniture and gentle ambient lighting enhance the tactile experience, making the space feel safe, inviting, and serene.
